A practice built on warmth, rooted in evidence.
Renewal is the shared practice of Dassie Cohen and Channi Packer — two Licensed Clinical Social Workers with over a decade of combined experience supporting teens, young adults, and couples through real life. We founded Renewal because we believe therapy can feel softer, more human, and more useful than it often does.
To make the work of therapy feel collaborative, structured, and — when it can be — a little bit joyful.
Every client deserves a practitioner who listens carefully, moves at their pace, and holds both the clinical rigor and the human warmth it takes to help. That's the practice we set out to build — one grounded in four things we don't compromise on: warmth, evidence, clarity, and collaboration.
We pair proven, evidence-based methods with a genuinely warm, judgment-free space. We're honest about what we're doing and why, we set goals together, and we adjust as we go. The result is therapy that feels less like a clinical transaction and more like a steady partnership — structured enough to make real progress, human enough to feel like yours.
Dassie Cohen
Dassie is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who supports teens, young adults, and adults in building confidence, navigating emotional challenges, and developing the skills needed for healthy relationships and everyday life.
With experience as a school-based social worker in a girls' school as well as in private practice, Dassie brings a thoughtful understanding of development and the transition into adolescence and adulthood.
Her work is rooted in a structured, evidence-based, goal-oriented approach grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She integrates creative and expressive techniques into her sessions, helping clients communicate more openly, process emotions, and build practical coping strategies in a way that feels engaging and accessible.
In her private practice, Dassie works with teens, young adults, and adults navigating key life stages — including dating, engagement, marriage, and early parenthood. She supports individuals and couples in strengthening communication, deepening emotional and physical intimacy, and building stronger, more connected relationships. She also works with clients experiencing postpartum mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs).
Dassie has additional training in sex and intimacy therapy and incorporates this into her work with individuals and couples in a respectful, thoughtful, and nonjudgmental way. She utilizes therapeutic tools such as guided communication exercises, psychoeducation, mindfulness-based techniques, and structured interventions to help clients explore concerns, increase comfort and understanding, and strengthen both emotional and physical connection.
Dassie is dedicated to creating a supportive, collaborative space where clients feel understood and empowered. She believes that with the right tools, insight, and guidance, meaningful and lasting change is not only possible — but attainable.
